Super Easy Fruit and Nut Cereal Bars (no sugar, honey or syrup)

These are an easy and healthy snack suitable for all the family. Packed full of vitamins, minerals, fibre, protein and energy. My family all love them!



Contains nuts: avoid peanut butters with containing whole nuts for children under 5 because they could choke on them, crushed or ground nuts are safe.

UK guidelines recommend that it is safe to give foods containing nuts from the age of 6 months, however if there is a family history of allergies then it is advised by the department of health to give with caution. speak with your GP, health visitor ir dietitian before giving your baby or toddler peanut products if he/ she has another food allergy or an allergy such as eczema.


Gluten free: Most porridge oats are gluten free but do check the ingredients first. Allergens can be found listed in bold.


Super Easy (you can even make with your toddler)

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 5-10 minutes

Suitable for ages 6 months +


Ingredients:

13 tablespoons porridge oats

10 tablespoons milk (any milk is fine including dairy-free)

1 banana

Handful of mixed berries, fresh or defrosted (I used fresh blueberries and raspberries)

1 tablespoon peanut butter (try to choose one with no salt or sugar added).




Method:

1. Mash banana in a bowl

2. Add the remaining ingredients

3. Spread mixture evenly on a non-stick oven proof tray and bake in the oven at 180 degrees C for 10-15 minutes
